DRIVER MANAGEMENT CENTRE

The key aspect of Road Safety Management is to ensure Road Safety Policy compliance successfully in terms of vehicle, driver & Journey. The objective of this exercise is to strengthen the process of compliance and to ensure consistency in terms of driver & journey management across the country.

IRSFM partners with organisation in carrying research, bench mark & up grade driving standards through Driver Management Center. It shares & updates, in terms of compliance, and provides lead indicators on driver’s behavior, attitude and vehicle condition before commencement of a journey.

The Driver Management Center provides & maintains details on:

• Driver induction, trainings and & Medical Checkups
• Driver analysis on basis of in-house trainings, on-road coaching’s and Assessments
• VAP at regular intervals
• Vehicular Condition before commencement of a journey
• Maintenance of trip records, alerts on preventive maintenance
• Validity & Possession of documents, its record and alerts related to driver, vehicle, route, cargo & tanker/lorry/truck in case of HAZ CHEM
• Tachographs/VDR/VTS/GPS reports analysis & up gradation
• Journey Risks sharing & modifications
• Record of incidents, side swipes and accident scenario averted
• Driver violations, feedback with/from drivers
• Regular tool box meets
• Mystery follow up
• Driver Appraisal, past incidence analysis reports sharing
• Monitor and provide the compliance status across locations
• Management Information System - Reports

IRSFM Driver Management Center will maintain, collate database as specified above. DMC will share compiled report, updates and advance alerts through their exclusive counselor who will interact on the given day with drivers/fleet supervisors turned up for loading to ensure compliance while working for an organisation at their locations.

Driver Management Center database is linked through a network and updated by respective associates on daily basis.

VTS/GPS ensure that violations of driver become zero. It provides details of violations, JRM adherence and deviations, unwarranted stoppages and specified stoppages at night. It also informs about the distance traveled on a day, hour’s driven and specified route which he has undertaken.

The dedicated counselor will use this data to communicate with driver. The feedback of this counselor will be forwarded to the Data management centre to incorporate it in the driver data base and will be put into use on subsequent visits of the driver to monitor the effectiveness of communication.

Driver Management Centre database supports Personnel Profile Analysis (PPA). It carries out ongoing research which helps to evaluate the driver performance.
